Because This Inspires Me
In the mid-90's, a pair of magazine writers toured the Lucasfilm archives at Skywalker Ranch and got to physically handle the props from Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Frickin' bastards.
I'd feel the same way in a Star Trek archive. My uncle worked on a couple of TOS episodes and sent me a packet of editing room clips. I treat them with reverence.
