John Milius Interview
As I'm sure many of you know, this is the guy who gave us Dirty Harry, Conan, Jeremiah Johnson, and Apocalypse Now.
What's the point of the interview?
A screenplay ought to look like a damn screenplay.
Hehehe...
Screenwriting news and in-depth analysis from a devoted, yet mysterious, student of the craft.

Sigh -- this clip confirms what I've suspected all along -- I shoulda went to USC instead of NYU! hahaha
At NYU, the professors just give the typewriters to the monkeys and see what they come up with. There's very little adherence to form. At least when I went and the school was run by ex-hippies.
I wasn't aware that Milius had anything to do with "Jaws" -- I just checked IMDB and it said he was uncredited for the "Indianapolis" scene, which I thought Robert Shaw largely improvised.
Good stuff!
Oy vey...
You're absolutely right, Mickey. I don't know what I was thinking. My Cab Sav wine was probably doing the thinking for me. Hehehe...
Thanks for that. I'm going to update the post.

This is over the top? This is the first thing they'll take out?
You can never tell which lines they're going to love and which they just won't notice.
